What an interesting election! Is that the right word, interesting? You have to admit, this election was must see TV, so we'll go with it. Let this sink in; the former host of the apprentice, WWE Hall of Fame Inductee, Donald Trump is PRESIDENT of the United States of America. I can’t say that I’m happy about it, but angry isn’t the right word either. Maybe shocked, yes that’s it…I’m shocked our great United States made this decision, but I’m not all that surprised.
Obama shook up the world, uplifting those he targeted while making a lot of people feel a bit marginalized. Trump has done the same thing but in reverse, and now the marginalized have a victor! Good ol’ Hillary tried to fight, but she couldn’t capture that “IT” factor that the past couple of presidencies have relied upon. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for an evil, maybe that wasn’t good enough for many Americans.
Other than people that wanted to see the first woman president, who out there was excited and anxious to go out there and vote for Hillary? Did Trump rev up the disenfranchised voters that felt slighted throughout Obama's presidency? Or do we put more blame upon Hillary’s inability to capture the masses that put Obama in office? The numbers will come in soon enough.
It’s not all doom and gloom though, as Donald Trump is prime for this type of spotlight. He has been on the grandest stage of them all (Wrestlemania XXIII) and fired Dennis Rodman on live TV. He’s gone up against the likes of Vince McMahon, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Umaga, and Omarosa Manigault. He definitely is ready to face down the likes of Vladimir Putin, Enrique Peña Nieto and Kim Jong-un.
